There are many types of shackles, which can be divided into two types based on the shape of their curved rings: D shackle and Bow shackle; There are two types of connection based on the form of pins and bent rings: spiral type and movable pin type.
What issues should be noted when using shackles?
(1) Before using the shackle, it is necessary to carefully check its bearing capacity, appearance for deformation or damage, and whether the connecting parts are intact to prevent problems.
(2) The direction of force on the shackle should be correct to prevent it from being subjected to lateral force.
(3) When connecting ropes or lifting rings, one should be placed on the horizontal pin and the other on the bent ring, and it is not allowed to be placed separately on the two straight sections of the shackle.
(4) After the lifting operation is completed, it is necessary to remove it in a timely manner, insert the horizontal pin into the bending ring, and tighten the nut. It is strictly prohibited to throw or drop shackles from a height to prevent deformation and internal crack damage, and to ensure their integrity and undamaged condition.
(5) The threaded part on the shackle should be regularly coated with lubricating oil to ensure good lubrication and rust resistance.
(6) After use, it should be stored in a dry place and padded with wooden boards for proper storage.
(7) It is not allowed to use unthreaded shackles with horizontal pins. When necessary, safe and reliable measures should be taken to prevent the horizontal pins from slipping out and causing accidents.
