The American standard turnbuckle is a special type of screw. Unlike ordinary screws, their prominent link load-bearing function is unique. Mainly used in assembly lines, large construction sites, large factories, lifting factories, ship transportation, bridge construction, high-rise buildings, and so on.

Turnbuckle is a type of rigging, its main function is to binding ropes such as steel wire ropes. When tightening the turnbuckle, the turnbuckle body is rotated for tightening, and the threads at both ends are exactly opposite. Therefore, the turnbuckle at both ends will move towards the inside or outside of the turnbuckle at the same time, tightening or loosening the screws at both ends simultaneously. Turnbuckle are mainly divided into three types based on different molding methods: cast malleable steel, ordinary carbon steel, and forged. Currently, there are two main types in the market: ordinary carbon steel and forged. Ordinary carbon steel turnbuckle are mainly used for stationary binding and stable scenarios in unimportant situations, such as wind protection in gardens and agricultural greenhouses. Forged turnbuckle are used for lifting, freight binding and reinforcement. For example, in logistics, goods are bundled, slings are connected, and steel structure cable pole connectors are used.

The surface treatment of turnbuckle generally includes two types: electrogalvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing, which mainly play a role in preventing rust. Electrogalvanizing is suitable for indoor use and requires waterproofing to avoid rapid surface corrosion.
